In the residential complex of Cologne-Seeberg, the Courtyard Housing Quarter is a lively ensemble of contemporary homes that integrates harmoniously with the surrounding buildings.
Within the urban planning framework, the new structures remain below the maximum permitted height. The new volume and its landscaped courtyard open invitingly toward the neighbourhood public park, only 50 metres away. Urban paths are connected and the neighbourhood network is extended.
Particular care ensures that every dwelling receives optimal sunlight throughout the day, with south-facing balconies and terraces. Residents also benefit from the generous inner courtyard and several shared green roof terraces. Open on two opposite sides, the courtyard provides ideal ventilation for the whole complex and its homes.
